English Essay SPM - Write a story which includes the words: "I was so glad that my mother didn't give up..."

I dragged my feet along the road with the glumness of a cloudy day since my mother was furious at me, after I had said that I was too busy to help her. Our life was steadily deteriorating after my father's life came to an end. Now, my mother and I lived in a tiny sparse village in the middle of nowhere.

One day, I saw a young beautiful girl sitting at the edge of the bridge across the river in a state of extreme irritability. I did not wish to disturb her, but the ball was in my court to know what has happening to her

I came towards the girl and implored, " May I sit with you?"

She smiled faintly, nodding her head politely. She did mention that she was enraged with her brother's attitude. She also commented that she had always been forced to do more work at home when her mother was away.

"So you are watching the scenery of water flowing on the river with the sound of chirping birds from the jungle to free your mind?" I asked her, guessing that she loves the beautiful earth nature.

"Yes, you are right," she replied, "but can I ask you a question?" she asked, trying to gain some information about me I guessed.

"You may ask me any questions you want, I am a faithful person," said me, the merest trace of sullenness in my voice.

"Could you share with me on how to control our feeling once it has been hurt by someone?" she requested fervently. I gained her permission to grab snacks from my house before continuing the conversation. Suddenly I lost my balance and stumbled on the bridge. My head was so grazed greatly on the surface bleeding. It was so hurt that made my tears rolled down my face in great floods.

I gently asked her to bring me home. She gripped my shoulder strongly and we stumbled home with me limping pathetically beside her. As we arrived, my mother was shocked to spot blood flowing vigorously  down my face. They brought me into my room and I collapsed onto my cosy bed. My mother kept on humiliating me and it made me so embarrassed that I could not control my tears but my mother's frown stopped it!

After that, the young girl gained permission from my mother to take her leave. I knew that it was my carelessness that caused me to ship on the bridge and now, my mother needs to work harder to gain more money to buy me the medicines I need. I was so glad that my mother didn't give up in taking good care of me. I could just see my father smiling down on my mother for doing all of his works that he left behind.
