Write a story ending with:
"If only I had been more careful, that wouldn't have happened."
The sun was
about to set. Haziq and I were feeling so excited to watch the scenery at the
seaside. Suddenly, I received a call from my mother that asked me to go back
home a soon as possible.
"Haziq,
I am sorry, unexpectedly I need to go back home now," I whispered.
He smiled and
nodded his head. I jumped onto my bicycle and cycled toward home. As I arrived
home, I was shocked to see a big amount of shoes outside the house. Then I
opened the door and went to the living room. As I was entering the room, I
noticed that my brothers and sisters looked straight at me.
"Hello,
I feel happy to meet all of you again," I greeted them cheerfully.
I was feeling
exuberant as they were planning to have a picnic at the beach and I was invited
to come along with them. That night we slept very late, chattering and
bantering in the living room as we were extremely missing each other.
The new day
had came. I observed through the window and noticed the sky was very clear,
hoping that the trip would go fine. Then, we gathered around the dining table
and were having a breakfast. After that, we prepared ourselves and headed to
the beach with two cars.
"You are
so lucky to breathe in fresh air everyday," mentioned Rid, my eldest
brother who worked at Kuala Lumpur.
"That is
the reason I am getting more and more healthier," affirmed me, sounding
amused.
My brother
and I kept on talking until I was blue in the face but he still continued his
talking. As we arrived, I quickly get out from the car and took out the
barbecue set. While others were looking at the scenery of the beach with popped
out eyes. My brothers and sisters sprinted toward the beach eagerly and jumped
into it.
Meanwhile, I were the
only one who need to set up the barbecue set. I went to a small looking
shelter, but it looks steady. I set up the barbecue set easily and started to
light up the charcoal.
"The sales pitch
sounded good, but there was a lot of hand waving about the price,"
complained my father, coming from the stall,"so you will need to share
your drinks with your beloved brother," said my father, sounds laughing at
me.
"For sure, I will
get less quantity of water from my brother," whispered my heart,"he
loves to take any opportunities coming on me," I sighed.
While my father was
keeping an eye on my little sister, I kept on observing the roasted chicken,
counting times to take it out. All of a sudden I saw a cute white colored cat
eating bones near a rubbish bin. I have tried to catch it's eye but it did not
work.
The white-yellow colored
tail with thick fur cat made myself keen to look nearly to it. So I decided to
go over there. As I was playing happily with the cat, I smell an unwanted
smell, it was from out shelter. Then I sprinted toward the barbecue set and
noticed the roasted chicken had became burnt chicken. I was upset that I made
the trip became worst. If only I had been more careful, that wouldn't have
happened.
